The Kitchen

Guests who stay at the Coolclogher House find that the kitchen becomes one of their favourite rooms in the house. The kitchen is bright, welcoming, and full of character and reflects the laid-back pace of life in a historic manor house in Killarney, County Kerry.

As families and friends congregate in the house, the kitchen becomes an integral part of the day-to-day activities of their stay. It is an inviting room where everyone can sit together and socialise. From the kitchen, they can plan their day out and about exploring the town of Killarney and the surrounding Killarney National Park.

The focal point of the kitchen is the large country-style oak table that comfortably seats fourteen people. This way, everyone can sit together and enjoy the company of the others around the table.

The two large windows allow plenty of natural light into the room and offer views of the gardens and the estate. The handcrafted and hand-painted kitchen units, wooden work surfaces, and the traditional dresser give the kitchen the character of a true country house.

A traditional log burning stove provides warmth and ambience, and two armchairs and a television set create a cozy corner. The kitchen is also well-furnished with an Aga Masterchef cooker. This is an excellent addition to any traditional country house kitchen.

A utility room is also provided just off the kitchen. This room contains a washing machine, dryer, wine chiller, and freezer. This room is convenient for longer stays.

A private chef and staff can be arranged for special occasions. Meals can be prepared in the kitchen and enjoyed together in the dining room.
